PNP: 2 gas stations face raps for profiteering amid oil price hike

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) has so far recorded two cases of alleged profiteering at two gas stations amid oil price increases. “We had two whom we already filed cases against,” PNP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Randulf Tuaño said at the Kapihan sa Manila Hotel forum on Wednesday. “These are in Nueva Vizcaya and Eastern Samar in which, although they were not hoarding, they were instead selling the fuel at higher prices than the standard retail price,” he added.
