Kent, 45, is the first senior member of the Trump administration to leave his post as a result of the war, angering Trump’s “America First” supporters. In his resignation letter, Kent, an Army veteran and former CIA paramilitary officer, wrote that Iran “posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.” Read more at The Daily Beast.
