Congress MP Pradyut Bordoloi has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and state BJP president Dilip Saikia welcomed him. Bordoloi, a two-time MP from Nagaon, previously served as a Cabinet Minister. His move is seen as a boost for the BJP's strategy in Assam ahead of future political contests.
