BI intercepts mail-order bride scheme victim at Naia

MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Wednesday said a woman suspected to be a victim of a mail-order bride scheme was intercepted at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia). According to the BI in a statement, the 21-year-old woman was intercepted at the Naia Terminal 3 by immigration officers before she could board a Cebu Pacific flight bound for Guangzhou, China.
