MANILA, Philippines — A 50-percent discount will be given to all passengers of the Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) and Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) starting Monday, March 23, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced on Thursday.  The DOTr said this is in compliance with the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to provide discounts to passengers after he suspended the fare hike for several public utility vehicles amid the oil price surge.
