CEBU CITY, Philippines – Employees who report for work on March 20, in observance of Eid’l Fitr, are entitled to proper compensation (holiday pay), according to an advisory released by the Department of Labor and Employment (Dole). Under the guidelines, employees who do not work on the holiday are still entitled to 100 percent of their daily wage, provided they are on approved leave or present on the workday immediately before the holiday.
