"A reported Iranian missile armed with cluster munitions struck a residential area near Tel Aviv on Wednesday, resulting in significant structural damage following Israel and Tehran carrying out retaliatory strikes amid ongoing Middle East conflict. Footage shows police and rescue workers entering the building to assess the damage. Later, they can be seen cordoning off the area and surrounding neighbourhoods. Dan Drin, a homeowner, said his daughter is in a different hospital unable to fall asleep after he told her what happened. "I hear abnormal knocking next to the front door. When I go, I feel like I'm stepping on shards and falling down, and I didn't understand what it was. And then they (rescue workers) explained to me that they opened the door, that they broke it down, and that the apartment across the hall was totally destroyed," Drin said. "I hope it's a sign of a long life and great luck that it's not pleasant to say it happened in the apartment across the hall and not in my apartment, luckily [...] The misery of others is comfort, but it's not misery. My heart aches," the man added. This comes after reportedly Israeli defence systems failed to intercept a cluster missile, scattering shrapnel in civilian areas of Tel Aviv, resulting in the death of a couple in their 70s and damage to Tel Aviv's main train station. In response, Israeli military spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani said, "This cluster bomb was fired by the Iranian regime towards a centre of mass population, firing dozens of rockets towards the civilians, deliberately targeting civilians." Lieutenant Shoshani also added that the military was doing all it could to intercept these missiles as 'high up as possible' to minimise damage. The US and Israel launched strikes on Iran on February 28. Tehran responded with strikes on Israel and US assets in the region. Israel also began hitting Lebanon just days later, saying it was responding to Hezbollah strikes, and the sides have exchanged fire since. "
