'It's heaven on earth!' - Srinagar’s tulip garden dazzles visitors with two million flowers in bloom

"Spring has arrived in Srinagar as Asia’s largest tulip garden opens to visitors, showcasing nearly two million flowers in full bloom. Footage captured on Tuesday shows the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden in Jammu and Kashmir, where more than 70 varieties of tulips cover the terraced slopes beneath the Zabarwan mountain range, overlooking Dal Lake. The 30-hectare garden features rows of red, yellow, purple, orange and white tulips, arranged in sweeping patterns across the hillside, creating a vivid seasonal display against the Himalayan backdrop. Families were seen picnicking on the lawns, while visitors walked through the flower-lined paths and stopped to take photos. “It’s been a wonderful experience to see these blooming flowers; the weather is lovely, the flowers are well-maintained, and yes, we’ve enjoyed it a lot,” said visitor Kaushal Shaw. “All the days that we have been here, we have been very safe. We liked Kashmir and I like to tell people also that now it is safe. Anybody can come, enjoy, and have a good holiday," added Karishma, the second visitor. “The hospitality has been great, and it's been a wonderful experience in Kashmir so far. Everyone should visit Kashmir. It's heaven on earth,” said Shaw, another guest. Authorities expect hundreds of thousands of visitors during the blooming season, which typically lasts three to four weeks, depending on weather conditions. The annual display has become a key attraction for the region, drawing large numbers of domestic and international tourists and boosting confidence in Kashmir’s tourism sector."
