CEBU CITY, Philippines — All 12 cyberlibel complaints filed against Councilor Pastor “Jun” Alcover Jr. over his online posts criticizing the Colon Street Night Market have been dismissed by prosecutors in Marawi City. The dismissal removes, at least at the prosecution level, the immediate criminal threat Alcover earlier described as “an attempt to silence dissent” over the controversial night market.
