The Election Commission of India has withdrawn two police commissioners from observer duties in Tamil Nadu. Muralidhar Sharma of Bidhannagar and Waqar Raja of Siliguri will no longer serve as central observers. This comes amid a series of bureaucratic and police reshuffles announced by the ECI for the upcoming assembly polls in West Bengal.
