Kuwait extinguishes fire at two refineries after drone attacks

Emergency teams have successfully extinguished fires that broke out in operational units in two Kuwaiti refineries, the official Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), reported on Thursday.The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) said response teams “have successfully extinguished fires that broke out in certain operational units at the Mina al-Ahmadi and Mina Abdullah refineries, following drone attacks that targeted both facilities earlier this morning,” KUNA reported.The incidents didn’t result in any injuries, KPC confirmed.“The incident was managed with a high level of professionalism and in full compliance with the highest approved safety and emergency response standards,” the KPC said in a statement according to KUNA.The company reaffirmed its commitment to the safety of its personnel and integrity of its operations.Read more: Qatar says ‘all fires’ at major gas hub contained, UAE shuts gas facilities
