War Secretary Pete Hegseth on Thursday said that the US still “holds the cards” with the war in Iran after Israel struck Iran’s facility at the South Pars gas field, a natural gas field shared by Qatar and Iran, without US knowledge beforehand.  As The Gateway Pundit reported on Wednesday, President Trump announced that Israel had “violently lashed out at a major facility known as South Pars Gas Field in Iran,” and that the US “knew nothing about this particular attack.” This prompted Iran to launch retaliatory attacks on Qatar’s liquid natural gas facility at Ras Laffan Industrial City.
