China's exports of rare earth magnets jump ahead of Trump-Xi meeting

China's rare earth magnet exports saw an 8.2% increase in the first two months of 2026. This rise comes as leaders from the world's two largest economies prepare for a significant meeting. Shipments reached over 10,000 metric tons. Key destinations include Germany, South Korea, the United States, Vietnam, and France. Exports to the US declined, while those to Japan increased.
