Hyderabad police finalises Eid-ul-Fitr security plan

HYDERABAD: Like the rest of the world, Muslims in Pakistan celebrate the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr with great enthusiasm, religious devotion, and respect. Continuing this tradition, Eid-ul-Fitr will also be celebrated in Hyderabad with full religious and social spirit. In connection with Chand Raat before Eid-ul-Fitr, the SSP Hyderabad has deployed more than 1,500 personnel at all small and large markets, hotels, and restaurants across the district to help maintain law and order. To further ensure a peaceful environment and safeguard the lives and property of citizens, Hyderabad Police, under the leadership of SSP Hyderabad Shahzeb Chachar, has finalized the Eid-ul-Fitr security plan. The largest Eid congregation is expected at Eidgah Rani Bagh, while police officers and personnel will gather at Police Headquarters for Eid prayers. In addition, numerous small and large congregations will be held throughout the city. According to the security plan issued by Hyderabad Police, effective security arrangements have been made across the district at all Eidgahs, open areas, mosques, Imambargahs, and Jamaat Khanas. Separate security arrangements have also been made for the Bohri community, which offers Eid prayers a day earlier. Under the plan, approximately 2,300 police officers and personnel will be deployed at various sensitive and important locations, while additional personnel have been assigned as Quick Response Force (QRF) at different points to handle emergencies. The SSP Hyderabad has issued strict instructions to all SHOs and SDPOs to ensure full deployment of personnel, including head clerks, during Eid prayer congregations. SDPOs will be responsible for effectively supervising security arrangements in their respective areas. Copyright Business Recorder, 2026
