PRICE WATCH: Nestlé ready to absorb Mideast price shocks, for now

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine unit of Swiss food giant Nestlé said it will try to keep prices steady for as long as possible. This, even as the war in the Middle East threaten to drive up production costs and disrupt global supply chains. Despite rising fuel costs and mounting geopolitical risks, Nestlé Philippines senior vice president Jose Uy III said price increases remain a last resort. “As long as we can absorb it, we will try to absorb it for the benefit of our consumers,” Uy told reporters on Tuesday.  READ: DTI warns hoarders, profiteers of penalties Any price adjustment […]...
