Marcos secures 60-day price freeze with food firms

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday said that food companies, processors, and retailers have agreed to freeze the prices of their products for up to two months to help mitigate the impact of the conflict in the Middle East on basic commodities. In a short media statement after doing an inspection at Century Pacific Food Inc.’s Calamba Distribution Center in Calamba, Marcos assured that the public has nothing to worry about regarding the long-term food supply.
