Nowruz marked by war as strikes hit Tehran and region

Air strikes hit Tehran as today marks Nowruz, the Persian New Year, with the region under sustained illegal attacks from the US and Israel and rising casualties reported across Iran and neighbouring states. The festival, which signals the start of spring, takes place amid missile fire, drone attacks, and restrictions on public life. Explosions were reported overnight in Tehran and Jerusalem as Iran and Israel exchanged attacks. Iranian state media confirmed the death of Ali Mohammad Naeini , spokesman for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in a missile strike. The timing of the attack remains unclear.
