"DPRK leader Kim Jong-un and his daughter Kim Ju-ae oversaw a live-fire exercise at Pyongyang Training Base No. 60 on Thursday, demonstrating the country's latest main battle tanks and coordinated infantry-tank drills. Footage released by state media shows Kim Ju-ae behind the controls of a new battle tank, with her father smiling from the hull, as DPRK rolled out a full leather-and-steel spectacle of armour, drones and live-fire strikes. The date and location of the photos could not be independently verified. According to reports, the new tank took seven years to develop, aimed at enhancing its survival rate. It will be inducted into the military arsenal as the main battle tank with enhanced capabilities for night operations. The drills come as Kim Jong-un urged the military to step up war preparations. The leader reportedly said that the new-type main battle tank is 'very superior,' claiming it is "unequalled in the world in its striking power and mobility," with especially advanced self-defence capabilities. The drill was described as a 'coordinated offensive tactical exercise' to train sub-units in combined arms operations, including striking, raiding, and occupying enemy anti-armour positions. Kim Ju-ae, widely viewed by analysts as a possible successor to her father, currently holds the position of director of the army's Strategic Rocket Force, though her future leadership role has not been officially confirmed."
