The Scream 2 star and the Hard Rock Cafe co-founder had first sparked romance rumors in 2023 after being seen on a double date in Los Angeles. Although the two were photographed in December leaving a Beverly Hills restaurant while holding hands and sharing a kiss, insiders said the moment was not romantic. Instead, they had just crossed paths by chance and spent time catching up. One source said they remain on good terms. Morton, son of Morton’s Steakhouse creator Arnie Morton, built major wealth through high-profile hospitality deals, including sales involving Hard Rock properties. Gayheart had meanwhile remained close with Dane after their separation. She had sought a divorce in 2018 but withdrew the filing last March after his ALS diagnosis.
