"A home in Rehovot, central Israel, was damaged by shrapnel after the military intercepted Iranian cluster munitions during a missile barrage on Friday. Footage shows security personnel cordoning off the area after the house was hit in Rehovot. Emergency services and police can be seen rushing towards the impact site. One of the eyewitnesses said that the sound of the impact was very loud, making them realise it had hit nearby. "We heard a serious boom. My wife froze for a moment. She told me to listen, it's nearby," he said, adding that when they came out of the shelter, they "saw smoke coming from the neighbour's balcony". According to local media, Iran fired eight salvos of ballistic missiles at Israel from midnight to early Friday evening, damaging houses and lightly wounding some residents. The country’s national emergency medical service, Magen David Adom (MDA), said a woman in her 70s sustained a ‘moderate' head injury on her way to the shelter and was receiving treatment at a medical center in Tel Hashomer. “Missile barrage damages home in central Israel. At least one person was injured. MDA searching reported scenes,” MDA wrote on X without specifying the exact location where in the center. The Times of Israel, quoting the country's health ministry, reported that the total number of hospitalisations as a direct or indirect result of the war in Iran was 4,099. The US and Israel have been engaged in a military conflict with Iran since February 28, which began with the killing of the Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Over 1,400 Iranians have been killed since then, and at least 18 Israelis have died."
