Bohol town extends aid to transport, boat sectors amid rising fuel costs

TAGBILARAN CITY — Citing the continued increase in fuel prices and economic strain, the local government of Talibon in Bohol province has rolled out a rice assistance program targeting transport and maritime workers. In an advisory, Mayor Janette Aurestila-Garcia said the initiative aims to support tricycle drivers and operators, as well as fishing and passenger boat operators or owners, who are among the sectors most affected by higher fuel expenses. The rice distribution is scheduled on Monday, March 23, at the Municipal Atrium and will be implemented through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWD) Office.
