"Fans gathered in Seoul on Friday to celebrate BTS's long-awaited comeback as the band just released the new 'ARIRANG' album. Footage captured at Sungnyemun Gate shows fans gathering outside the venue and watching a BTS-themed media facade projected onto the historic landmark. "It was really exciting because I didn't know what to expect. And the graphics, the images are, like, how can I explain this? I cannot explain it. I can't find a word," a fan said. "I really want to see how they will perform their new song, like ‘Swim’, or which other songs on the album will have a choreography, and it will have a huge impact, like globally, so I'm really excited," added a second. BTS's comeback comes with their fifth Korean studio album, ARIRANG - their first full set of new studio material in six years and their first full-group return in three years and nine months after military service. The 14-track record blends modern visuals with traditional Korean elements and tackles themes of identity, resilience and pressing on through life's challenges. Key tracks include 'Swim', 'Aliens', 'Normal', and 'Into the Sun', and were produced by an international team including longtime collaborator Pdogg. Industry watchers say the comeback is expected to generate significant commercial impact. The celebrations will peak on Saturday with a huge live comeback concert at Gwanghwamun Square, set to be livestreamed worldwide on Netflix. The rollout has included public installations at major landmarks, with a '2026 Arirang World Tour' scheduled to run from April 2026 to March 2027. The city expects over 260,000 to attend the area."
