"A group of activists, self-titling 'The Earthquake Faction', on Friday carried out an arson attack on an LPP Holding facility in Pardubice, eastern Czech, reportedly used to produce drones and other military equipment for Israel's Elbit Systems. Footage released by the group shows at least two individuals entering a warehouse, dousing the site in flammable liquid, vandalising property, seizing documents, and setting the facility ablaze. "The site is used to develop weaponry used by the Zionist entity to massacre people daily in Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, and across West Asia," the group posted on Telegram. "The Earthquake Faction will shake the ground under the boots of the colonisers [...] There is no time to beg the complicit international governments. We will not waste our breath asking nicely." No injuries were reported after the incident. An investigation and search for suspects has been launched, with local police clearing of further threats. Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis said that the arson has been looked into as a 'terrorist act', announcing an urgent meeting with the State Security Council on Friday. LPP had earlier announced its cooperation with Elbit Systems on drone technology and personnel training in 2023. However, following the arson, LPP commented to local media that the planned 2023 co-operation never went ahead. The company said the tender linked to the project was cancelled and that the Pardubice site has never produced Israeli drones. Elbit Systems has not commented on the situation at the time of publication. Both Czech and Israel are key partners in developing Prague's air defences, having collaborated on SPYDER air-defence contracts worth over €540 million, with Czech industry accounting for about 30 per cent of the project. The attack comes amid Israel's continuous military operations in Gaza and southern Lebanon, as well as Tel Aviv's joint campaign with the US against Iran."
