Kerala's opposition UDF will support four former CPI(M) leaders contesting as independents in the upcoming assembly polls. Leader of Opposition V D Satheesan announced the UDF's backing for candidates in Ambalappuzha, Ottapalam, Taliparamba, and Payyannur. Additionally, the UDF has inducted the National Janata Dal (NJD) as a constituent party.
