'We speak to you in the language of power' - Khatam al-Anbiya spox to US, Israel amid ongoing conflict

"Spokesperson for Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Ebrahim Zolfaghari, issued on Saturday severe warnings to the United States and Israel amid escalating regional conflict. Meanwhile, he reaffirmed Iran's self-defence capability. "In this war, we are seeking a sustainable security approach towards our country and nation. You are looking for an escape route because the start of your invasion was on a path of foolishness and suicide," Zolfaghari said in a televised address. He further noted that Iran is "not only fighting for its own defence, but also for the security of the region and Muslims. Iran is embracing its greatness in the Strait of Hormuz." The spokesperson has underscored that his country's concentration lies on 'ensuring the security of our land and region', adding, "We speak to you in the language of power. Iran is the creator of a foundation for security in the region, and epics can be written about the bravery of the nation and its armed forces." Zolfaghari also reiterated national defensibility, saying, "Strike our infrastructure, and we will strike more important infrastructure than you. We remain powerful, and we will remain powerful, by God's permission." Tensions flared in the Middle East after the United States and Israel launched a joint military operation on Iran on February 28, when diplomatic talks were taking place aimed at ‘undermining Iran's nuclear and missile programmes. Tehran then announced retaliatory strikes on Israel and US assets in the region. Explosions were reported in different Gulf countries. Later, Iran confirmed the killing of the Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, and his son, Mujtaba Khamenei, was selected as his successor. The conflict spilt over into Lebanon as Hezbollah intervened 'in revenge' for the assassination of the Iranian Supreme Leader. The shipment routes, including the Strait of Hormuz, were disrupted following the closure of the Strait. The latest escalation has driven oil prices above 100 USD per barrel, rattling global energy markets and triggering protests in several countries."
