"The acting President of Myanmar Min Aung Hlaing touched down in Tianjin as China prepares to host the 25th Shanghai Co-operation Organisation (SCO) Summit. Footage shows the plane taxiing on the runway and the politician descending the stairs before receiving a warm welcome from the Chinese delegation on the tarmac. The cortege of cars was later seen departing the airport. The 25th meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO, chaired by Chinese President Xi Jinping, is scheduled to take place from August 31 through September 1. The upcoming meeting promises to be the largest in history. Leaders from more than 20 countries and representatives of international organisations have confirmed their participation. They will discuss economic co-operation on technology, innovation and artificial intelligence, as well as issues of regional security and sustainable development. The SCO brings together 10 member states, 14 dialogue partners and two observer countries. China also holds its landmark 80th anniversary Victory Parade in Beijing on September 3, attended by many world leaders and dignitaries."
