MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has ordered the suspension of the importation of regular milled and well-milled rice for 60 days. Based on the Executive Order No. 93 released on Saturday, which was signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on Friday, the suspension on rice importation will be effective from September 1, 2025, to October 30, 2025. “Upon the recommendation of the DA (Department of Agriculture), the importation of regular milled and well-milled rice is hereby suspended,” Marcos said in the executive order.
