At least 11 people were killed and one went missing Saturday after fresh rains triggered cloudbursts and a landslide in Indian-administrated Kashmir, reported Xinhua, quoting officials. The cloudbursts and landslide hit the Reasi and Ramban districts, both located south of Srinagar. "Early today at village Karara of Reasi district, seven members of a family were buried alive after a landslide triggered by a cloudburst amid heavy rainfall flattened their house. The villagers have recovered the bodies," an official said. In another incident, four people were killed and one went missing following a cloudburst in Rajgad village of Ramban district. Saturday's incidents were the latest in a series of such tragedies that have hit the region recently during the monsoon. Last week, heavy rains in the region triggered flooding and unleashed a wave of devastation, claiming at least 41 lives and causing damage to infrastructure on a large scale.
