Finland reports highest rate of gender-based violence in EU, new data shows

Finland has the highest reported rate of gender-based violence in the European Union, according to a new survey published by Eurostat, FRA, and the European Institute for Gender Equality. The survey found that 57.1% of Finnish women aged 18 to 74 reported experiencing either physical violence, threats, or sexual violence at some point in their lives. This figure is the highest in the EU, where the average was 30.7%.
