MANILA, Philippines — The House of Representatives will push through with its hearings on the proposed 2026 national budget and its plenary session despite heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon, Secretary General Reginald Velasco said on Monday. In a memorandum, Velasco said the House secretariat will continue regular work despite the suspension of classes and government work in Metro Manila. “The House Secretariat will resume its regular work schedule today, September 1, 2025, to continue budget deliberations and facilitate committee meetings.
