"Arca SGR of the Fast and Furio sailing team claimed victory at the 57th Barcolana regatta, presented by Generali, on Sunday. Footage shows sailboats racing across the Gulf of Trieste with speed boats and helicopters monitoring the event. The Arca Fondi SGR can also be seen powering ahead to the finish line. The iconic regatta, held in the Gulf of Trieste, saw Arca SGR cross the finish line first on an upwind leg at a steady 12 knots, completing the race in 1 hour, 43 minutes, and 42 seconds. For skipper Furio Benussi of Trieste, it marked the team's fourth victory in five years with Arca – a dominant streak interrupted only in 2022 by the historic win of Wendy Schmidt's Deep Blue, the first woman ever to triumph in the competition. This year's Barcolana event featured 1,865 boats and over 15,000 participants, turning the Gulf of Trieste into a vibrant display of sails. Since its beginnings in 1969, the race has become a signature celebration of the city's maritime spirit, uniting professional and amateur sailors in a festive competition."
