Charlotte Church Admits She Was 'P***ed Off' By Alison Hammond Laughing During This Morning Sound Bath

Charlotte Church on This Morning in 2022 Charlotte Church has admitted she was upset last year after making an appearance on This Morning . As well as her music career (and, indeed, current appearance on The Celebrity Traitors ), the Welsh performer now runs a retreat centre called The Dreaming, described as a place for visitors “to rest, restore, be playful & connect with nature”. Discussing her new venture on This Morning last year, Charlotte explained: “One of our pillars is sound and sound healing in all of its forms. “Sound affects us on a cellular level and science is really starting to come to terms with the power of sound. “It’s about helping people drop into a deep sense of relaxation and there are so many health benefits around it. In today’s age, it’s very difficult for people to switch off.” To demonstrate this, she then performed a sound bath for Alison Hammond and her co-host Dermot O’Leary live on air, although the former found it difficult not to laugh during the experience, for which she apologised to her guest. @ttkm_23 #RelaxationTips #BestMoments #TVHighlights #Mindfulness #ChillVibes #TelevisionTalk #Entertainment #FeelGood #PositiveVibes #SoundBath #LightheartedChat @Alison Hammond ♬ original sound - TTKM Asked about the appearance on This Morning during an interview with Elizabeth Day on her podcast How To Fail , Charlotte admitted: “That pissed me right off.” “I’ve met Alison Hammond a number of times and she’s a wonderful woman,” the Call My Name singer continued. “I think that part of it was a misjudgement on my part to go ‘let’s do a five minute sound bath on national TV. That makes loads of sense. Yeah, let’s go for it’.” Alison Hammond struggled not to laugh while Charlotte Church performed a sound bath on This Morning in November 2024 She then shared: “I think that what annoyed me more than anything else was that then I’m given the opportunity to display and demonstrate, and represent somewhat, this amazing art of sound healing or sound ceremony or however people want to describe it. And then it’s made a figure of fun. “That really did actually touch quite a deep wound for me. I was like, ‘ugh I really like you, Alison, but fuck you’.” When the host then pointed out it no doubt reminded her of “all those other times that you felt you were made fun of”, Charlotte responded: “Yeah, totally.” Alison said at the time: “I’m so sorry – I feel like I was being rude. What was really throwing me was you singing! It was really making me giggle.” HuffPost UK has contacted Alison Hammond’s team for comment.
