ZAMBOANGA CITY – Six potential human trafficking victims were rescued by the Western Mindanao Naval Command in Tawi-Tawi province on Tuesday, Oct. 14. The military said that three victims were intercepted at the local seaport. Subsequent profiling led to another group of three in Barangay Poblacion, Bongao municipality. Their alleged recruiter however managed to evade arrest. They were travelers hailing from Luzon and passed by Zamboanga City on the way to Bongao. They were turned over to the Municipal Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking and the Ministry of Social Services and Development in Bongao.
