MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded 1,464 aftershocks from the magnitude 7.4 and 6.8 earthquakes that rocked Davao Oriental last Oct. 10. In an advisory sent to reporters on Thursday, Phivolcs said the aftershocks had magnitudes ranging between 1.2 and 5.8 and that 19 of them were felt by the public as of 8 a.m. on Oct. 16.
