Leyte public school teacher shot by husband -- police

MANILA, Philippines — A teacher in a Leyte public school was shot by her husband on Thursday morning, the Police Regional Office Eastern Visayas (PRO 8) said. The shooting took place at the Tanauan School of Craftsmanship and Home Industries, PRO 8 Director Brig. Gen. Jason Capoy told reporters in Camp Crame in a phone interview. Capoy alleged the husband concealed a caliber .38 revolver, brought it to the school, and shot his wife, hitting her in the right shoulder.
