(UPDATE) MANILA, Philippines — The lawyer of drug suspect Jade Christian Regalario, originally accused of selling ecstasy, was acquitted. In a letter sent by Regalario’s lawyer to The Manila Times, Adonis Macam, the suspect, who was originally arrested in June 2024, was found not guilty by the Regional Trial Court of Pasig City, citing that he was a victim of a set-up. Regalario, a Cainta, Rizal resident, was originally arrested in June2024 by a team from the National Capital Region Police Office Special Operations Unit, for allegedly selling the drug ecstasy.
