MANILA, Philippines —  Batangas 1st District Rep. Leandro Legarda Leviste on Thursday asked Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon to make a disclosure, amid "talk" linking Dizon's team with contractors. "I've heard talk including in Congress that Secretary Dizon and his team have connections with DPWH contractors [...]", Leviste said in a press conference at the House of Representatives. For the lawmaker, any such connections should be disclosed "in the interest of transparency". "I am asking Secretary Vince Dizon to disclose any and all of his and his team's connections with current, past, or potential future contractors of DPWH projects," he said. Dizon said in a press conference on Thursday he would conduct an investigation on the matter. "The only contractors I had talked to were the ones you have seen me call out a bit when I am doing an inspection," he also said.
