MANILA, Philippines – The low-pressure area (LPA) inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has a ‘high chance’ of developing into a cyclone in the next 24 hours, the state weather bureau said Thursday evening. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the LPA was last located 1,060 kilometers east of southeastern Luzon at 3 p.m, moving westward to potentially make landfall by Saturday evening.
