MANILA, Philippines–Hundreds of students from various universities converged at Mendiola Bridge in Manila on Friday afternoon to protest what they described as worsening corruption in government. Carrying banners and placards that read “Pondo sa edukasyon, hindi sa korapsyon,” students demanded accountability from government officials allegedly involved in the ₱100-billion flood control project anomalies under the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
