First F35 fighter jets join Belgian air force

The Belgian air force has taken receipt of its first new fighter-jet in over four decades. The first Belgian F35s arrived at the Florennes military air base in Belgium last Monday. King Filip was on hand to get the feel of the new aircraft, while chief of the defence staff Gen Vansina was only too happy to brief the many newsmen and women, who had travelled to Wallonia especially. So far Belgium has purchased 34 F35s. Report: Jens Franssen.
