Cebu earthquake: Magnitude 4.2 aftershock shakes Bogo City

MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.2 aftershock struck Bogo City in Cebu on Saturday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported. According to Phivolcs, the tremor was another aftershock of the deadly magnitude 6.9 earthquake that hit the city on Sept. 30. The agency said the aftershock’s epicenter was located 18 kilometers west of Bogo City, and struck at 12:59 p.m. It was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 10 kilometers.
