MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Storm Ramil has slightly weakened over the coastal waters of Northern Samar, but Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 2 remains hoisted over eight areas of Luzon and Visayas, according to the state weather bureau on Saturday. Based on its 2 p.m. bulletin on Saturday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the tropical storm now carries a maximum sustained wind speed of 65 kilometers per hour (kph)—slightly down from the 75 kph recorded during the 11 a.m. bulletin.
