MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) deployed on Sunday 9,405 workers for quick response in preparation for the impact of Super Typhoon Uwan (international name: Fung-wong). A total of 1,603 pieces of equipment were also deployed to critical areas for clearing operations and emergency repairs after the anticipated effects of Uwan, the DPWH said.
