MANILA, Philippines — Typhoon Uwan (international name: Fung-wong) is now out of Luzon’s landmass early Monday morning, according to state meteorologists. As of 2:00 a.m., Uwan is now over the coastal waters of Bacnotan, La Union, per Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa). Earlier, Pagasa weather specialist Obet Badrina said Uwan may be over the West Philippine Sea in the next 5:00 a.m. update.
