MANILA, Philippines — Insecticides worth P53.35 million were confiscated, and the Chinese man who owns the warehouse storing the products was arrested in Tarlac, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) said on Monday. The seizure and the arrest stemmed from a search warrant for violation of Section 155 in relation to Section 170 of Republic Act No. 8293 or the Intellectual Property Code targeting a warehouse in Barangay Parsolingan, Gerona, last Friday, the CIDG noted in a statement.
