MANILA, Philippines -- Sen. Imee Marcos is pushing for a digital agriculture data dashboard (ADD) that willprovide a real-time view of the country’s food supply. She said the proposed ADD would empower farmers and consumers since it would track crop yields, planting and harvest schedules, import volumes, and farmgate-to-retail prices. The senator also said it would also guide policymakers in formulating policies on importation and food security. “Data should drive our food policy not guesswork or middlemen. We need a system that shows the real picture from farm to market,” Marcos said in a statement.
