Search op underway - Victim Identification Unit working in Wang Fuk Court housing complex after deadliest fire in Hong Kong

"Approximately 600 members of the Hong Kong Police Force's Disaster Victim Identification Unit (DVIU) arrived at Wang Fuk Court in Hong Kong's district of Tai Po to continue searching for the missing after the deadliest fire in city's history. The footage filmed on Saturday shows responders dressed in protective white suits, gathering near the charred buildings to collect evidence and assist in the ongoing investigation. The protective outfits that cover entire bodies, include long-sleeved overalls and gloves, safety helmets and oxygen masks or respirators to be able to work inside the scorched residential blocks. The blaze broke out at Wang Fuk Court on Wednesday, and continued to burn for more than 20 hours. Authorities confirmed 128 deaths, including 89 victims who had yet to be identified, while about 200 people remained missing. The blaze had ravaged seven of the estate's eight residential blocks. The complex reportedly consists of 2,000 units with over 4,600 residents. Over 900 residents have been evacuated from the complex, with many taking shelter in temporary facilities established in nearby sports centres and schools."
