Nartatez: SC upholding Kian delos Santos case a warning to erring cops

MANILA, Philippines — The Supreme Court’s (SC) ruling affirming the conviction of the cops involved in the 2017 killing of Kian delos Santos serves as a warning against erring personnel that the law will eventually catch up with them, acting Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez said. The SC’s Second Division denied the appeals of policemen Arnel Oares, Jeremias Pereda, and Jerwin Cruz, affirming their conviction for murder.
