MANILA, Philippines — Two agricultural groups have urged the Supreme Court (SC) to stop the implementation of Executive Orders (EO) 105 and 62, which adjust rice tariffs. They also want to declare EO 105 as unconstitutional. Petitioners Leonardo Montemayor, the national chairperson of the Federation of Free Farmers, and lawyer Argel Joseph Cabatbat, chairperson of Magsasaka Party-list, through their legal counsel, filed a petition for certiorari and prohibition before the SC last December 23.
