Classes suspended in Victoria, Oriental Mindoro due to amihan rains

VICTORIA, Oriental Mindoro — Classes in all schools in Victoria town were suspended starting noon on Monday as a precautionary measure amid persistent rains brought by “amihan” or the northeast monsoon, local officials said. The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) announced that, upon the directive of Mayor Richard V. Inciong, who also chairs the MDRRMC, classes from kindergarten to senior high school—both public and private—were canceled effective noon on Monday.
